"R.P. Michell: A Master of British Chess" by Julius du Mont. Published in hardback by Isaac Pitman and Sons in 1947. First Edition. Betts 29-76. 108pp. The book is in Very Good condition for its age. The binding is tight although there is a miniscule shelf lean present. There is no bowing. The boards are clean. However, somehow the 4 figurine images seen on the dustjacket have transposed themselves onto the 4 corners of the book's front board. Quite how this happened I have no idea. See scans. Internally the book is in excellent condition and has clearly been well cared for over the years. It is inscription/annotation and foxing free. The page edge blocks are tanned a little from age and have some foxing specks but this does not extend to any of the internal pages. The dustjacket is also in Very Good condition. It is complete and suffers only from light crumpling to the head of the spine and darkening discolouration to the same area. The dustjacket is now protected by a superior 'Gaylord' removable see-through sleeve. Games are given in English descriptive notation. Scarce, especially with its dustjacket. Further scanned images are available on request. 'Signed For' postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £3.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. PLEASE NOTE: AUCTION ITEMS WON FROM BIDDERS IN THE EU (and The USA, etc) WILL HAVE THEIR GOODS POSTED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (part of the EU) AND THIS WILL, HOPEFULLY, AVOID THE NEW BREXIT POSTAL TAX. (N.B. Customers in the GB area will have their goods posted from Northern Ireland - part of GB - as usual). Any questions, please just ask.
