Havasi, Kornél: "A Soproni Jubiláris Sakkverseny 1934".
Budapest, self-published (in page 34 "A kiadásért a szerzo felel" = The author is responsible for publishing) and printed by Mérnökök Nyomdája (Engineers Printing House), (1934. In some sources they cite 1935 as the year of publication, a reasonable fact considering that the tournament was played from September 3 to 14). Original stapled and glued softback edition. 34 pages + 1 sheet with 2 Photographs (one of them of the group of players) after page 16. No Title page. 22,1 x 15,1 cm. In Hungarian.
Very good: Some minor defect in the covers, such as a slight crease in the lower outer corner of the front cover, a tiny tear (barely visible) in the lower part of the spine, as well as a very slight darkening on the edges (also on the inside pages ). Tiny stain near bottom edge of pages 9-10. Otherwise in very good condition, perhaps one of the best I have seen of this booklet.
L/N 5483; Di Felice 2068.1 (Chess Competitions 1824-1970). Maybe not in Kieler Schachkatalog.
Spielmann won in front of Sacconi and Thomas, 1.5 points ahead, despite his loss to Sacconi.
The Author was a great player, Champion of Hungary in 1922, representing Hungary in the first 7 official Olympiads, as well as in the 1st and 3rd unofficial ones, always scoring above 50%. Kornél Havasi was killed by the Nazis in 1945. The Wikipedia link provides some valuable information:
