"Jean Morice (16-08-1930) French composer and FIDE Master

Jean Morice composes mostly direct mates in 2 or 3 moves, but also reflexmates and other genres. He was granted the title of International Judge in 1983.

It is worth mentioning that the book has its artistic value. In the last paragraph of the 3rd and last page of the Introduction, Jean Bertin says the following:

"Merci aussi à ma regrettée cousine Louise Cottard-Fossey, artiste-peintre, pour les charmants dessins qui agrémentent cette plaquette."

"Thanks also to my late cousin Louise Cottard-Fossey, artist-painter, for the charming drawings which decorate this booklet." Translated by DeepL.com
