DESCRIPTION

"Games from the US Chess Championship and 4th Rosenwald Trophy Tournament, New York City, 1957/58" by Jack Spence. Published in spiral bound softback by the author in 1958. First Edition. Limited Edition #123 (of 150). Betts 25-271. 42 large pages. Stencil printed on rectos only. The booklet is in Very Good condition for its age. The covers are clean although there is the inevitable slight wear and discolouration visible to the extremities (see scans). There is no loss to the covers, however,  and no closed tears either. In many respects I believe this is as good a condition cover as you will find for this particular booklet. Internally the booklet is in excellent condition and has clearly been very well cared for over the years. The pages are all very clean and inscription/annotation and foxing free. The page edge blocks are lightly and evenly tanned from age. This tournament is, of course, best remembered today as being Bobby Fischer's first US Championship win. Games are given in English descriptive notation. Scarce. Further scanned images are available on request. 'Signed For' postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £3.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. PLEASE NOTE: AUCTION ITEMS WON FROM BIDDERS IN THE EU (and The USA, etc) WILL HAVE THEIR GOODS POSTED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (part of the EU) AND THIS WILL, HOPEFULLY, AVOID THE NEW BREXIT POSTAL TAX. (N.B. Customers in the GB area will have their goods posted from Northern Ireland - part of GB - as usual). Any questions, please just ask.
