"C. J. S. Purdy - His Life, Games and Writings" by J. Hammond and R. Jamieson. Published in softback by Belmont Printing Co. in 1982. First Edition. 362pp. The book is in Good overall condition for its age. The binding is tight and the internal pages are all very clean and unmarked. The covers are, however, damaged with a dark dried liquid staining present on the top edge of the front cover (and front endpaper) and along a small part of the spine (see scans). The book has been quite well read as creasing to the spine area and the rear cover testify. The book was once part of the "Rumsey ECF" collection (see scan). Not in the best condition cosmetically but quite uncommon and entirely presentable internally. Foxing free. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request.
