"Partij Verloren" by L. Eggink and W. Schelfhout. Published in hardback by Joachimsthal in 1947. First Edition. 219pp. LN: 3010. In Dutch language and algebraic notation. The book is in Very Good condition for its age. The binding is good (not "tight" as there is a little movement to the spine) with no shelf lean or bowing present. The page edge blocks are tanned and speckled a little, possibly due to the poorer quality of paper available so soon after WW2. Internally the book is very clean. It is inscription and annotation free. There is a shop sticker on the front pastedown. The - rare - dustjacket is in Good condition. It has miniscule areas of loss to extremities and scuffing to the rear cover, which also has 2 closed tears in it. The spine area has nibbles to the head and tail and a small puncture in the middle (see scans). The dustjacket is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Dedicated to the memory of lost Dutch players during the war, in particular Landau, v.d.Hoek, etc. Biographies and 64 lightly annotated games. Further scanned images are available on request. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £3.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details.
