Gouda, KOCH & KNUTTEL, 1901-1902. Private hardback binding, similar to publisher's binding, with Title and engravings embossed only in spine. 1901: VIII Register pages (including Half Title page and Title page) + 268 pages (Olland's Portrait after page 188 is missing. Supplied "photocopy" on photographic paper). 1902: VIII Register pages (including Half Title page and Title page) + 1 Supplement "Internationale Schaakwedstrijd te Hannover 1902. Grafische Voorstelling der wisselingen in de volgorde der deelnemers." (after page 204) + 284 pages (including Meijer Portrait in page 246). The Index of 1902 is bound with the Half Title page and Title page before page 1, and with Register pages V-VIII after the 24th page. 23,8 x 16,5 cm. In Dutch.
Good to very good: Binding with light scratches, with a slight tear at the bottom of the spine next to the front cover. Ex-libris of its previous owner, the Italian collector Pellegrini, inside the front cover. Practically all the game numbers with a light pencil mark, easy to erase. In the problems section, there may be some, but I haven't found any annotations. Rectify the position of problem 983 on page 188 of 1901 by adding (in blue ink) a black knight on "b4" (probably published like this, because in the 1901 copy that I sold in July 2020 this "rectification" was also present, identically). Some normal general browning in edges. In general a copy in very good condition. Please see the photos below.
