DESCRIPTION
Šachy pro radost (in English Chess for Joy) was a Czech chess magazine of newspaper format, published in Ostrava only in the year 1993. In total, 3 issues were published, each with 12 pages. The main editor was IM Ladislav Dobrovolsky. The main content of the magazine was news from the world and the Czech Republic with annotated games, chess history and a solving competition. Size: 31,5 x 23 cm.
The closure of the magazine was announced in the 3rd issue. The reason was financial losses.
Today it is a rare magazine, I personally have never seen it on the market. Not in Di Felice.
Condition - Good to Very Good: private binding with gold lettering on spine.
