"The Chess Companion" by Irving Chernev. Published in hardback by Faber and Faber in 1972. 287pp. Second Edition. The book is in Good Plus condition for its age. The binding is tight and the book has no shelf lean or bowing present. The internal pages are clean and unmarked apart from a few specks marks on the first and last couple of pages. The book is inscription free. The page edge block has foxing on the top edge and a small stain on the side edge. No foxing is visible in the book interior. The dustjacket is also in Good Plus condition. It has mild crumbling to the head of the spine and a tiny area of liquid staining to the foot. It is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve.
