"Chess-Key: A Key to the Chess Openings" by Dr. Max Euwe and Reuben Fine. A piece of 1940s or 1950s chess nostalgia and memorabilia (no date on the item but AVRO is mentioned without any year being added so I assume made not that long after that tournament). The premise was very simple: The opening is turned in the slot at the top of the "Chess-Key" and two or more variations are provided in larger windows on the left and right of the Key. Kingside openings are on one side and Queenside openings are on the other. The opening is moved around on a circular spindle. Condition is Good with scuff marks commensurate with age. A great item for a Chess Man-Cave! Size is approx. that of a 33rpm vinyl record. Scarce. Further scanned images are available on request. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £2.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. PLEASE NOTE: AUCTION ITEMS WON FROM BIDDERS IN THE EU (and The USA, etc) WILL HAVE THEIR GOODS POSTED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (part of the EU) AND THIS WILL, HOPEFULLY, AVOID THE NEW BREXIT POSTAL TAX. (N.B. Customers in the GB area will have their goods posted from Northern Ireland - part of GB - as usual). Any questions, please just ask.
