"Chess the Hard Way!" by Abe Yanofsky. Published in hardback by Pitman and Sons in 1953. First Edition. 149pp. Betts 29-153. A nice copy of this quite scarce modern chess title. The book is in Very Good condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The yellow boards are clean and the black lettering is strong. The internal pages are all very clean and are inscription/annotation and foxing free. The pages edge blocks have light-coloured foxing on all three edges but this does NOT affect the internal pages (see scan). The dustjacket is in Good Plus condition. It is complete (apart from being price-clipped) and has moderately strong scuff marks on both panels (see scans). It is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Games are given in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £3.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. PLEASE NOTE: AUCTION ITEMS WON FROM BIDDERS IN THE EU (and The USA, etc) WILL HAVE THEIR GOODS POSTED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (part of the EU) AND THIS WILL, HOPEFULLY, AVOID THE NEW BREXIT POSTAL TAX. (N.B. Customers in the GB area will have their goods posted from Northern Ireland - part of GB - as usual). Any questions, please just ask.
