Tall octavo (16 x 25cm) bound in recent cream cloth boards, black leather spine, VG. pp (xvi),30,(1). LN 4598. A tall copy with wide margins. With a previous owner dedication and bookplate. Whyld & Ravilious, Chess Texts gives details about this edition and the original 1597 work. The 30 page section is an English translation of the chess poem by Vida, and the first section is about how to play chess by G.B.
