Wien - London 1872-1874 - CE Erlandsson's new-year gift 1991 (signed).
Carl-Eric Erlandsson issued eight new-year gifts 1988-1996, each printed in 99 copies distributed to his chess friends.
This issue contains two correspondence chess games between teams from Vienna and London starting in June 1872, reprinted from Nordisk Skaktidende. The Vienna team consisted of Philipp Meitner, Adolf Csank, Johann Berger, Bernhard Fleissig, Oscar Gelbfuhs and Ignaz Kolisch. In the London team played Johann Löwenthal, Joseph Blackburne, Edward Frankenstein, Bernhard Horwitz, William Potter and Wilhelm Steinitz. Vienna - London ½-1½.
Lund 1990. 8 pp 15 x 21 cm stapled. Signed by the compiler.
