Carl XIIs Schackparti - CE Erlandssons new-year gift 1997 (signed).
Carl-Eric Erlandsson issued eight new-year gifts 1988-1996, each printed in 99 copies distributed to his chess friends.
This issue contains a reprint of Johan G. Schultz' memorial booklet printed in 100 copies (van der Linde II 301) 30 November 1868 in Stockholm (just 150 years after the death of Charles XII). Also pictures of Carl XII and Sam Loyd and one page "Karl XII. in Bender" in German and three pages from Tidskrift för Schack no. 1-2/1947.
The famous swedish problemist Johan G. Schultz (23.ii.1839 - 28.ix.1869) was a co-founder Sweden's oldest chess club Stockholms Schacksällskap in 1868.
Lund 1996. 16 pp 15 x 21 cm stapled. Signed by the compiler.
