All twelve issues of "CHESS, Sutton Coldfield" magazine for Volume 12. Edited by B.H.Wood. Magazine issue numbers 133 - 144, inclusive (Oct 1946 - Sept 1947). 366pp. Betts 7-91. Di Felice 491. Facsimile index provided. The magazines are in Good condition for their age. The staples and covers are all attached (apart from the covers of the April 1947 issue, where the covers are missing) and the magazines appear to be inscription and foxing free. The Nov 1946 issue has a vertical postal crease but none of the others. There is very minor, age related, chips and staining and the occasional very short, closed tear on some pages but considering the fragility of the covers these magazines have been carefully handled over the last 70+ years. The magazines have a musty odour from poor storage conditions in the past. Some people dislike this while others find it quite endearing. Internal magazine pages are tanned from age. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £3.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. PLEASE NOTE: AUCTION ITEMS WON FROM BIDDERS IN THE EU (and The USA, etc) WILL HAVE THEIR GOODS POSTED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (part of the EU) AND THIS WILL, HOPEFULLY, AVOID THE NEW BREXIT POSTAL TAX.
