"Keres' Best Games of Chess, 1931-48" by Fred Reinfeld. Published in hardback by Bell & Sons in 1949. Third Edition. 252pp. Betts 29-50. The book is in Good condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The boards are very clean and the gilt lettering on the spine is still bright. The page edge blocks are tanned from age and are affected by foxing (see scan). Indeed, foxing is a cosmetic issue with several of the book's internal pages, especially the first and last few pages. There are also unsightly sellotape residue stains on the front and rear pastedowns and endpapers (see scans). There is a gift inscription in pen on the front endpaper. The vast majority of the internal pages are inscription/annotation and foxing free but, as stated, there is foxing to the start and end of the book although no game pages are affected. The dustjacket is also in Good condition. It is price-clipped and suffers from staining to the head & tail of the spine and sellotape residue to the front and rear inner panels (see scans). It is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Further scanned images are available on request. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £3.50.
