Score sheets - Malmö 1919.
41 (of 48) score sheets from the team tournament, played in Malmö 1919 (påsktävlingarna = Easter tournament).
This team competition was fought by four teams: Stockholms Schacksällskap, Københavns Skakforening, Göteborg Schackförbund and Skånes Schackförbund.
The four teams represented the strongest Nordic players at the time and had participations by:
Giersing, Krause, Norman-Hansen, Møller, Alb. Nielsen, Gemzøe, Christensen, Nissen, Nyholm, E. Jacobsen, Ljunggren, A. Olson, Hult, E. Olson, S. Olson, Bäckström, Berndtsson, Harald, Ahlberg, A. Nilsson, O. Nilsson, Rydén, N. E. Nilsson, Andersson, Sjöberg, Håkansson, Torstensson, Bengtsson, Ling, Krenzinsky, Malmström, Strandmark and Harksen.
Københavns Skakforening won in front of Stockholms Schacksällskap.
The score sheets are in the hand of the players. One score sheet per game.
The score sheets are missing from the following 7 games:
Sjöberg-Giersing, Giersing-Berndtsson, Harald-Krause, Håkansson-Harald, Ahlberg-Torstensson, Harksen-Andersson, Nissen-Bäckström.
All "missing games" are published in Tfs with notes by Spielmann except the game Ahlberg-Torstensson which is considered to be lost. Thus 47 of 48 games are known. None of the games are in Chessbase (not even the games published in Tfs).
A historical account on an almost forgotten Nordic team event. See also Tfs 1919 pp. 83-94.
Condition: Written on white paper. Notations are individual and some score sheets have errors and omissions in move recording.
