DESCRIPTION

Magyar sakkvilag 1927

Complete volume 12, with all covers bound in

LN 6164

Magyar sakkvilag 1927.

Kecskemet, 1927. Contemporary halfcloth, spine lettered. VIII (=title, index) + 392 pages + 3 plates. All covers bound in. Size ca 22 cm. 730 grams. In Hungarian. LN 6164, Di Felice 1413.

Fair to good: covers are scuffed. The outer joints are scuffed, the back joint is torn in several places, but the binding is holding well. There are two old stamps on title – one of a private person (the same stamp appears on page 11) and another of the Pecs Sport club (the same stamp appears on the front free endpaper). On page 53 in the header of the third issue there is a sticker of the International tournament Kecskemet 1927. Pages normally browned by age, text except a few sporadic marks with no writings

Complete volume including title/index, numbers 1-12 + special issues 1-2 (rendkivuli szam) + all 3 plates.

The special issue 1 has 48 pages (numbered 249-296) and is on the London chess Olympiad. It contains report, results and 57 partially annotated games.

The special issue 2 has 24 pages (numbered 321-344) and contains an article by J. Berger on Das indische Problem etc.

The plates show: 1) Alekhine, 2) group photo of the tournament Kecskemet 1927, 3) 5 photos = members of the Hungarian team at London 1927 Olympiad.

The covers of all issues (including the special ones) are bound in.

The magazine was published in 1911-1950, then replaced by Magyar Sakkelet.
