Good to very good: Small defects on the covers with a mark along the outer side edge of the front cover (slightly affecting the first half of the booklet), tiny stains on the back cover, very light wrinkles and slight rust on the staples (only affecting pages 38-39). Stamp of British Chess Problem Society Library on title page. Otherwise in very good interior condition.
"This book is about an outstanding Russian chess-problem composer, the founder of the strategic two-mover in Russia Konstantin Gavrilov and his problems" (Authors on page 3). The book has a first part up to page 17 dedicated to the Authors and the Biography of Gavrilov. The second part shows a selection of 131 two-mover problems by Gavrilov.
