С.-Петербург, Издание С.-Петербургскаго Шахматнаго Собрания, 1911. Original softback edition. 42 pages (including Capablanca's Portrait). 22,5 x 15,5 cm. In Russian.
Good: Book with light dirt on the covers, with some stains, the most visible near the outer side of the front cover, and slight tears on the edges, most visible in the upper part of the spine. A former owner's signature, dated February 28, 1918, and his purple seal are present at the top of the front cover. His signature and his date are again present at the top of the Title Page. And his signature and his purple seal are again present at the top of page 9. A few more minor flaws, but the important thing is described. A copy in good condition of a very rare and difficult to find book.

I am not sure if it is the first publication on Capablanca, since the same year "A Brief Review of the Chess Record of José Raúl Capablanca" by D. Welles (New York, 1911) was published, although in any case it is the 1st or the 2nd, and surely the 1st on Capablanca's style and of some importance considering the famous Author.
