Maxmilian Ujtelky (20 April 1915 – 12 December 1979) was a Slovak chess master and theoretician. He shared 1st with Jiří Fichtl in Czechoslovak Chess Championship in Ostrava 1960, but lost to him a playoff match for the title. He represented Czechoslovakia in Chess Olympiads in Amsterdam 1954, Leipzig 1960, and Havana 1966. His name is attached to the Ujtelky System (b6, Bb7, g6, Bg7, d6, e6, Nd7, Ne7).
Janos Flesch (30 September 1933 – 9 December 1983) was a Hungarian chess grandmaster, chess writer and coach. He is best known for claiming a world record simultaneous blindfold exhibition when he played 52 opponents in 1960. He died in an automobile accident with his wife Ildiko Tenyei in Whitstable, England in 1983.
