Ferdinand Krticka – Frantisek Pithart
Carbon copy of a scoresheet
from 21 May 1944
Carbon copy of scoresheet dated May 15, 1944. The scoresheet has a heading of the Central Bohemian county of the UJCS. However, the competition in which the game was played is not specified. Written in Pithart's hand, signed (through carbon) by Pithart and in pencil (probably directly, not through carbon) by Krticka. Size 21 x 15 cm.
Good or better: light/some signs of use, light horizontal center fold.
The game ended as a draw after 56 moves.
Biographical data:
Frantisek Pithart (1915-2003), Czech master (since 1951) and noted trainer. One of the best Czech players after wws. He participated many times in the finals of Czechoslovak championships - his best results were 2x shared third place in 1955 and 1965. He represented Czechoslovakia in the chess olympiad Helsinki 1952 and in European team championship 1957. Author of many books and articles.
Ferdinand Krticka (1892-1951), Master of the UJCS since 1923. He played in Czechoslovak championship finals several times. Trainer of Ladislav Alster.
