GRANDMASTER SIGNATURES OBTAINED AT THE HASTINGS CHESS CONGRESS.
Together with four programmes from the tournaments at which they appeared - 1963/64, 65/66, 66/67, 67/68, with the crosstables completed by hand.
Boris Spassky appears on the front cover of one programme. The following are on one sheet of paper with the date and place obtained:
1. Nona Gaprindashvili 3. Mikhail Tal 4. Abram Khasin (these three in Dec 1963)
5. Mikhail Botvinnik (in Dec 1966)
6. Leonid Stein 7. Alexei Suetin (both in Dec 1967)
8. Vasily Smyslov (date/place not given)
2. Paul Keres (at John Lewis's [London department store] Nov 1962)
There is one further signature no.9 of Malcolm Muggeridge, an English journalist and satirist.
