DAMIANO. Robert Franz und v.d. Lasa: Die Schachpartieen und Endspiele des Portugiesen Damiano, nebst der Kunst, aus dem Gedachtnisse zu Spielen. Veit & Comp., Berlin 1857.
Small octavo (13 x 18cm) contemporary half leather, leather title panel on front cover, gilt lettering and ruling, top joint repaired, a good copy. Frontispiece (being a facsimile from an original Damiano), pp xii, 82, 88 diagrams. Occasional foxing throughout. With two stamps of the British Chess Problem Society. There is a pencil note that this was the copy of I.O.Howard Taylor of Norwich, and was presented to the BCPS by John Keeble in 1928. LN 361. A very scarce item.
