Andras Adorjan (born 31 March 1950) is a Hungarian chess player, International Grandmaster and three-times Hungarian Chess Champion (1984, 1992, 1993). His greatest international achievements include 1st place at the European Junior Championship in 1969/1970, 2nd place at the World Junior Championship in 1969 (behind Anatoly Karov) and, above all, a gold medal with the Hungarian team at the 1978 Chess Olympiad in Buenos Aires (ahead of the Soviet Union). At the Riga Interzonal in 1979, he finished joint third and qualified for the World Championship Candidates Tournament where he lost his quarter-final match to Robert Huebner. He is also known as a coach and author of books with the slogan Black is OK.

Jozsef Pinter (born 9 November 1953) is a Hungarian chess player, trainer and writer, International Grandmaster and two times Hungarian Chess Champion (1978 and 1979). He played three-times in a row in Interzonal tournaments (1982, 1985, 1987) and participated in eight Chess Olympiads from 1980 until 1998 where he collected one individual gold medal in 1984 and team silver medal in 1980.

Istvan Csom (2 June 1940 – 28 July 2021) was a Hungarian chess player, International Grandmaster and two-times Hungarian Chess Champion (1972, 1973). He played for the Hungarian team in seven Chess Olympiads (1968–1974, 1978–1982, 1986–1988) including the victorious team of 1978.

Ivan Farago (1 April 1946 – 12 December 2022) was a Hungarian chess player, International Grandmaster and Hungarian Chess Champion in 1986. In 1980 he was a member of the Hungarian national team that won the silver medal at the 1980 Chess Olympiad and the team that won the silver medal at the 1985 World Chess Team Championship.
