The British Chess Magazine 1882. Edited by John Watkinson. Huddersfield, Wheatley, London, Trübner and New York, Brentano, 1882. Issues 1-12 (No. 8/9 and 11/12 are double issues). 392 pages. Complete volume 2 including title page and index (IV pages). Covers not bound except for issue 1. LN 6135. Betts 7 - 27.

 

BCM is the oldest continuously published chess magazine in the world.

 

Condition - Good: elegant private half-cloth binding with gold lettering and ornaments on spine, corners bumped, stamps on the title page, paper sporadically stained and a few pages with mostly removable markings.
