DESCRIPTION

Original photo from the match Czechoslovakia B - Slovenia played in Marienbad (Marianske Lazne) from 30 April to 2 May 1974. Size 18 x 13 cm.

The games from front to back: Supancic - Ambroz, Dolezal - Vospernik, Jelen - Votruba, Hausner - Osterman (standing). On the right are playing Vokralova and Petek (not visible).

Darko Supancic (born 1957) is a Slovenian chess player and FIDE Master. His highest rating was 2405 in 1995.

 

Jan Ambroz (born 18 June, 1954) is a Czech chess player, International Master and Czechoslovak Champion in 1980. Member of the Czechoslovak team that finished 2nd at the 1982 Chess Olympiad in Lucerne.

 

Jiri Dolezal (February 16, 1929 - September 4, 2006) was a Czech chess player, coach and official. Junior champion of Czechoslovakia in 1949. He played eight times in the final tournaments of the Czechoslovakian championship, his best result was in 1963, when he finished in 8th place.

 

Zdravko Vospernik (born 1934) is a Slovenian chess master.

Iztok Jelen (born 1947) is a Slovenian International Master. He won the Yugoslav Junior Championship in 1963 and tied for 3rd-4th in the Yugoslav Championship in 1981.

Pavel Votruba (born 1948) - is a Czech player, International Master and well known chess arbiter (e.g. from the tournaments in Wijk aan Zee).

Ivan Hausner (April 15, 1952 – March 19, 2023) - was a Czech chess player, International Master and editor-in-chief of Ceskoslovensky sach for more than 30 years.

Rudolf Osterman (born 21 July 1946) is a Slovenian chess master and Slovenian Champion 1969.
