Mária Ivánka: Silver Queen.
In English. An autobiography first published in Hungarian as Ezüstvezér in 2000.
Mária Ivánka [born 23.2 1950] wrote this book under difficult circumstances, since the majority of the work was completed in Austin, USA, while most of the information resources - newspapers, magazines, and albums - happened to be in Hungary. While writing, she recalled the witty quote from Mark Twain, "When I was younger I could remember anything, whether it happened or not; but I am getting old, and soon I shall remember only the latter." However, the book is based on her extensive correspondence, written soon after the events happened. Therefore, the adventures are not at all dim memories, but revived, fresh experiences.
Debrecen, 2002. 277 pages + 32 pages of illustrations (many color photos). Playing Record, index of games, openings and players. 16 x 23 cm. Condition VG.
