Paul Morphy got an invitation to a costume ball on 27 March 1868. His respons in this letter is that he with pleasure accepts the invitation.
13 x 20 cm on very fragile paper.
Condition: Repaired on back side; probably assembled. A few small holes in the paper. See scan. Text on the back side "The remarkable Chess Player" (see scan).
