Edward Arłamowski was on the Editorial Committee of "Szachisty Polski" in 1946-47. In 1957, together with W. Litmanowicz and A. Szymański, he published a book entitled "A spotlight on the chessboards of the world", and in 1968, his study "The Jubilee Book of the Krakow Chess Club" was published in Krakow. For the last years of his life he worked on the book "Historia chess in Poland". A serious illness and death prevented him from completing it. He left behind the largest chess book collection in Poland, numbering about 3,000 volumes, transferred to the Jagiellonian Library in Krakow as the beginning of the Chess Library.
