DESCRIPTION

Dvoretsky. Für freunde und Kollegen.

Mark Dvoretsky was born in Moscow in 1947. He is an International Master, Honored Trainer of the USSR, Russia and Georgia, and FIDE Senior Trainer. He is rightly considered one of the best coaches in the world. Several of his students became strong grandmasters: S. Dolmatov, A. Jussupow, A. Dreev, V. Zvjagintsev, E. Inarkiev, among others. Mark Dvoretsky is also an exceptionally successful author. In 2010 he received the Boleslavsky Medal from FIDE for his books "The Endgame University" and "Tragicomedies in the Endgame".

This new book does not only contain his memoirs. The unusual autobiography shows chess life in Russia from the coach's point of view. Of particular interest are the author's encounters with chess titans such as Botvinnik and Tal.

Not only chess trainers, but anyone who wants to improve their chess skills will find many valuable tips here. But less ambitious chess fans can also enjoy entertaining stories and amusing anecdotes from the life of the famous trainer.

425 pages. Hardback. 2011.
