DESCRIPTION

"The World's a Chessboard" by Reuben Fine. Published in hardback by David McKay in 1948. 323pp. First Edition. Betts 24-57. The book is in Good condition for its age. The boards are very clean and the gilt lettering on the spine is still strong. The binding is tight although there is a notable shelf lean present (see scan). The boards are free of bowing. Internally the book is very clean and inscription free with lovely glossy quality paper (so unlike the English chess books of the same era!). The book is free of foxing. There is a 'CHESS, Sutton Coldfield' sticker on the front pastedown. The dustjacket is in Good Minus condition. It has nicks to extremities and sunning along the spine to note plus scuffing to the rear panel and spine. It is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Further scanned images are available on request. Standard airmail postage (see An Post.com website for prices) based on book weight will be used unless the winning bidder requires signature on delivery or insurance, etc. Any questions, please just ask.

PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOW BASED IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND AND, THEREFORE, ALL SALES TO EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS (APART FROM GB) WILL BE IN EUROS AND SHIPPED DIRECT EU - EU (THUS AVOIDING ANY BREXIT POSTAL TAXES). CUSTOMERS IN THE GB AREA CAN STILL AVAIL OF SHIPPING DIRECT GB - GB AS I CAN SHIP FROM NORTHERN IRELAND, ALTHOUGH THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT DELAY IN POSTING. CUSTOMERS IN THE USA AND THE RoW WILL HAVE THEIR ORDER SHIPPED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND.
