"The British Chess Magazine, 1912" edited by Isaac Brown. Published by Trubner & Co in 1912. First Edition. 532pp. Betts 7-27. Includes index. Volume 32. The volume is in Good Plus overall condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The (privately bound, very dark purple coloured) boards are clean although quite scuffed on the spine area and with some light superficial staining to the front board (see scans). The spine area has raised bands and the gilt lettering is still quite bright. The page edge blocks are reasonably clean. Internally the volume is in Very Good condition. It is inscription, annotation and foxing free. The pages are glossy to the touch and very clean. It is obvious that this volume has been well cared for over the years. There are three internal depredations to note: One, the endpapers have discolouration around their extremities from an unknown source. Two, the book has the stamp of "Dundee [Scotland] Chess Club" on the title page and the rear endpaper and Three, there is the original bookbinders stamp on the rear pastedown (see scans). A sought after BCM volume. Games are given in English descriptive notation. Published without a dustjacket. Further scanned images are available on request.
