DESCRIPTION

Three vintage chess problem booklets: 1. "The Chess Problem Hobby" by C.S. Kipping. Published in softback by The Chess Amateur in 1923. First Edition. 64pp. Betts 30-13. The book is in Good Plus condition for its age (100 Years old!). The covers have age discolouration and fading to note. Internally there is a previous owner's signature and date on the front endpaper but the remainder of the booklet is in very clean condition and is annotation and foxing free. 2. "Chess Problems" by E.G. Cordingley. Published in softback by UPL in circa 1946. First Edition. 90pp. Betts 20-15. The booklet is in Good condition for its age. The covers have creasing and a couple of shop stickers/stamps to note. Internally the (pink) pages are in good, clean condition and are inscription, annotation and foxing free. 3. "Chess Problems Made Easy" by T. Taverner. Published in softback by Daily News Ltd in circa 1924. First Edition. 92pp. Betts 30-18. The booklet is in Fair condition for its age (99 Years old!). The covers have stain marks and general discolouration to note. The booklet has two "hole punch" punctures near the spine and a length of "treasury tag" connecting the holes. I'm not sure if this arrangement is necessary or was placed there from a cosmetic point of view. Internally the booklet is in good, clean condition and is inscription, annotation and foxing free. In all three booklets positions and solutions are given in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Standard airmail postage (see An Post.com website for prices) based on book weight will be used unless the winning bidder requires signature on delivery or insurance, etc. Any questions, please just ask.

PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOW BASED IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND AND, THEREFORE, ALL SALES TO EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS (APART FROM GB) WILL BE IN EUROS AND SHIPPED DIRECT EU - EU (THUS AVOIDING ANY BREXIT POSTAL TAXES). CUSTOMERS IN THE GB AREA CAN STILL AVAIL OF SHIPPING DIRECT GB - GB AS I CAN SHIP FROM NORTHERN IRELAND, ALTHOUGH THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT DELAY IN POSTING. CUSTOMERS IN THE USA AND THE RoW WILL HAVE THEIR ORDER SHIPPED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND.
