The chess column in the Ceskoslovenska republika was published in the years 1921 - 1931. It was led by the Czech chess player Jan Kuzelka (1892 - 1956), who always had several special prints bound for his friends at the end of the year. The 1928 volume offered in this auction is one of these rare special prints. Signed by Jan Kuzelka on the first endpaper.

The chess column in the Ceskoslovenska republika was very well maintained and contained news, problems, games, tournament tables, diagrams and other interesting information, some of which are difficult to obtain from other sources. As far as I know this special print has never been offered in LSAK or Klittich auctions.

Condition - Good: binding a little worn, the first endpaper with tears, paper yellowed and sporadically stained.
