Chess Olympiad Folkestone 1933

Brno: Spolek ceskych sachistu, (1933). Orig. softcover. 62, (2) pages. LN 5466, Soukup 36, Mokry 118. Size 24.5 cm. 110 grams. In Czech.
Fair to good: covers are somewhat soiled/stained and somewhat worn. The area around the spine is faded. The first blank leaf is spotted at the top near spine about 2x2 cm. Signature and small stamp of previous owner (Czech-Australian master Emanuel Basta) on title. Pages are slightly soiled but generally okay, with no writings.
The book brings all 56 games played by the Czechoslovak team - Czechoslovakia came on second place (the winner was team of USA). All games are annotated and well diagrammed. Round summaries, crosstable, index of players.
Note:
Emanuel Basta (1915-1992), was a Czech master, in 1949 he emigrated to Australia, where he was one of the strongest players. He played several times in Czechoslovak Congresses (Main tournaments) and in Australian championships. Champion of State of Victoria 1957, 1958, 1960, champion of Melbourne 1966 and 1968.
