Good: some crease to the top left corner. Light crease to other corners.

A meeting of the Czechoslovak team with some officials. From the left are Nelly Fiserova (women tournament), Jan Foltys (2nd board), the person behind him who is almost not visible is very probably Emil Zinner (3rd board), then Jiri Pelikan (4th board), Frantisek Zita (reserve) and Josef Louma (captain).

Salo Flohr (1st board) is not present.

Biographical data:

Nelly Fiserova (? – during wws in a concentration camp), Czech master. In the women tournament of the Stockholm 1937 Olympiad, she shared the 6th-7th place.

Jan Foltys (1908-1952), IM, one of the best Czech players in 1930s and 1940s. Czech champion in 1940 and 1943, he played three times in the Olympiads (1936, 1937, 1939), his greatest success was probably the third place in Podebrady 1936 (after Flohr and Alekhine), he came third in Prague 1942 (1.-2. Alekhine, Junge).

Emil Zinner (1909-1942), Master of the UJCS since 1933. He played in several Czechoslovak championships and chess olympiads.

Jiri (Jorge) Pelikan, (1906-1984), Czech master, he played in three Olympiads - 1935, 1937 and 1939. After the 1939 Buenos Aires Olympiad, he stayed and lived in Argentina. The Sicilian B 33 is sometimes named after him.

Frantisek Zita (1909-1977), Czech IM, 2x co-winner of Czech(oslovak) championship, multiple winner of Prague chess championship. Zita was strong positional player, took part on 5 chess olympiads.

Josef Louma (1898-1955), strong Czech master, FIDE vicepresident 1951-54, journalist (Ceskoslovensky sach etc), chess composer - author of some 60 endgame studies.
