Berlin-Halensee, A. Stein's Verlagsbuchhandlung, 1919 and 1920. Private half linen marble binding with gold Title on spine. Jahrgang 1919: Title page + Portrait of Adolf Rothmaier + 350 pages (Index in pages 329-350) + Jahrgang 1920: Title page + Portrait of Heinrich Eichstädt (after page 96) + 286 pages (Index in pages 261-286). Bound without covers. 22,8 x 16 cm. In German.
Fair: Binding worn and rubbed, especially at the edges and corners. Break along spine on back cover, although solidly attached to binding. General strong browning, some wrinkle and some light break, some foxing, and almost no writing, hardly any (I have only seen one) note in pencil (erasable). Many of the defects are due to the poor and fragile quality of the paper used at that time, just after the First World War. Heavy foxing on the Title Page and the 1919 page due to the Portrait in the middle. The last pages from 1920 are wavy on the bottom half, especially on the edges and spine, perhaps due to humidity or water (I honestly don't know). Honestly, a relatively scarce 2 year old Volume in reasonably good condition of this famous Magazine.
