"CHESS, Sutton Coldfield, Volume 1". Edited by B.H. Wood. Privately bound in light blue/grey hardback. Magazine issue numbers 1 - 12, inclusive (Sept 1935 - Aug 1936). 476pp. Betts 7-91. Di Felice 491. Includes index. The volume is in Good Plus condition for its age. The boards are clean but have signs of age and small scuff marks on them. The binding is good (not "tight" as there is a fair amount of movement to the spine). There is no shelf lean or bowing present. The spine is mildly discoloured and has the handwritten entry: "35/6" on it. The page edge blocks are clean. Internally the pages are all very clean and inscription free. The volume has some very mild foxing to the endpapers and first & last couple of pages but it peters out soon afterwards. None of the pages have the often seen vertical postal crease. Internal magazine pages all appear to be very clean and inscription/annotation free. NOTE: No magazine covers are bound in. Scarce. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Standard airmail postage (see An Post.com website for prices) based on book weight (approx. 1.1kg) will be used unless the winning bidder requires signature on delivery or insurance, etc. Any questions, please just ask.
PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOW BASED IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND AND, THEREFORE, ALL SALES TO EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS (APART FROM GB) WILL BE IN EUROS AND SHIPPED DIRECT EU - EU (THUS AVOIDING ANY BREXIT POSTAL TAXES). CUSTOMERS IN THE GB AREA CAN STILL AVAIL OF SHIPPING DIRECT GB - GB AS I CAN SHIP FROM NORTHERN IRELAND, ALTHOUGH THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT DELAY IN POSTING. CUSTOMERS IN THE USA AND THE RoW WILL HAVE THEIR ORDER SHIPPED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND.
