First Edn. Oblong 4to (34 x 26cm) original printed wrappers with title in German, French & English, a few small marks or stains to covers but still in good condition for such a fragile item. Etched reproduction of Retzsch's widely admired engraving showing Satan playing chess with Man for his soul, pp 6 text in German, English & French. LN 4691 or 4692. With a small label "doublette" of the Lothar Schmid collection. A RARE ITEM.
