DESCRIPTION
Kempelen’s Chess Player and Automaton. Two engraved plates which have been nicely hand-coloured at a later date. They are published by Thomas Tegg, 1826 and 1827. These illustrations have often been reproduced in books about the famous automaton. Also included is a plate depicting 20 Knight’s tours. Very good condition.
