"H.E. Atkins - Doyen of British Chess Champions" by R.N Coles. Published in hardback by Isaac Pitman in 1952. First Edition. 144pp. Betts 29-14. The book is in Good Minus overall condition for its age. The book is tightly bound and stands straight, with no shelf lean although the front board rises ever so slightly so it is technically "slightly bowed". The boards are clean although heavily browned along the spine (see scan). The page edge blocks are heavily tanned (see scan). Internally the book has mild foxing to the first and last few pages but the vast majority of pages are clean and unmarked. The book is inscription and annotation free. PLEASE NOTE: The dustjacket is a COLOUR FACSIMILE ONLY. It is complete but the copy was made from a scuffed original that had sellotape markings on it. It is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Games are in English descriptive notation. A reading copy only. Quite scarce. Further scanned images are available on request. Standard airmail postage (see An Post.com website for prices) based on book weight will be used unless the winning bidder requires signature on delivery or insurance, etc. Any questions, please just ask.
PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOW BASED IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND AND, THEREFORE, ALL SALES TO EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS (APART FROM GB) WILL BE IN EUROS AND SHIPPED DIRECT EU - EU (THUS AVOIDING ANY BREXIT POSTAL TAXES). CUSTOMERS IN THE GB AREA CAN STILL AVAIL OF SHIPPING DIRECT GB - GB AS I CAN SHIP FROM NORTHERN IRELAND, ALTHOUGH THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT DELAY IN POSTING. CUSTOMERS IN THE USA AND THE RoW WILL HAVE THEIR ORDER SHIPPED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND.
