A book of chess studies, compiled according to an unusual principle. For each square of the chessboard from a1 to h8, a study was chosen such that the most significant and memorable move of the solution - the point of the study - was made on a pre-agreed square.
The book contains about 200 studies (almost twice as many as stated in the title) by only one author - Alexander Zhukov, a chess composer from Simferopol. All the studies are analyzed and explained in detail by Vasily Lebedev, with one study usually running to 2-6 pages.
The title means 111 Magic Endgame Studies by Alexander Zhukov.
