With a personal dedication to Bogatitschuk by the former world chess champion Botvinnik on the first endpaper. This dedication is a legendary "political statement" for the International Master Fedor Parfenowitsch Bogatirtchuk, as he became "persona non grata" shortly afterwards.
Condition: First plate with adhesive residue on verso, resulting in minor loss of letters in the dedication. Slightly browned and slightly stained on the inside. Front cover with edge tears, therefore slightly loose. Cover dusty, slightly bumped and with traces of creases. Spine slightly broken.
