Duchamp, Halberstadt. Opposition und Schwesterfelder:

Original publisher binding. 2nd advertisment sheet in copy.

Marcel Duchamp played as a member of the French team at the Chess Olympiad from 1928 to 1933. This edition, which is published in a small edition, deals with pawnendgame studies with a mathematically precise basis. The text is in German, French and English.

„Opposition and Sister Squares“ is an artist‘s book for chess players and a chess book for artists. (Ernst Strouhal)

Condition: Cardboard cover with slight wear and little bit dusty. Paper slightly browned, first and last leaf stronger. Corners bumped, upper corner more with effect on upper pages see pictures. Book edges slightly stained and dusty see picture too. Marginalia in pencil on inner lid, this can be erased easily if wanted. Otherwise inside nice and clean. Overall Assessment = Still Good!

Postage EUR (insurance included): Non-EU countries please ask! I try to choose the most cost-effective yet reliable way.

I combine shipping – you always pay just real postage! The packing materials are free.

I send with the so-called "Paketmarke" (for further information https://www.post.at/privat_versenden_paket_paketmarke.php) which is, in general, the most cost-effective and reliable way to send parcels to Austria. One feature is that the shipment costs are defined via the longest and the shortest side of the parcel. The weight is limited to 10 kg. The parcel is also insured up to € 500,-.

  1. PM 045 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel is added max. 45 cm) GER=€10,79, other EU = €14,19
  2. PM 070 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel is added max. 70 cm) GER=€16,24, other EU = €19,69
  3. PM 120 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel are added max. 120 cm) GER=€21,69, other EU = €25,19

Therefore if you win more than 1 lot and the books fit into the same parcel, the shipping costs will be the same as for 1 book.

Important: Please wait with payment until you get my confirmation email, as the shipping costs have to be calculated.
