DESCRIPTION

Lasker, Kampf:

Lasker, Emanuel. Kampf. New York, Lasker's Publishing Co., 1907. 8°. 79 pages. Original publisher binding with black print decoration on front cover.  L/N. 4188a.

"The present work contains reflections on the strategy of a struggle, such as war, the struggle of a businessman... Life is, according to... ancient words, a continuous struggle... My activity has naturally led me to the observation of mistakes and merits of strategic measures, and after fifteen years of work, I believe I have succeeded in identifying some meaningful strategic principles. These ideas are discussed and explained here." (Foreword by Em. Lasker) In this first philosophical work by Lasker he develops a science of struggle. He transfers abstract guidelines from the game of chess to various areas of life. The German chess player, mathematician and philosopher Emanuel Lasker (1868 - 1941) was world chess champion from 1894 - 1921.

Condition: Cover with slight soil. Corners slighty bumped. Upper book edges dusty and with stains, which effects a few pages (max 5mm). See also pictures. Otherwise inside nice and clean. Overall = Good!

Postage EUR (insurance included): Non-EU countries please ask! I try to choose the most cost-effective yet reliable way.

I combine shipping – you always pay just real postage! The packing materials are free.

I send with the so-called "Paketmarke" (for further information https://www.post.at/privat_versenden_paket_paketmarke.php) which is, in general, the most cost-effective and reliable way to send parcels to Austria. One feature is that the shipment costs are defined via the longest and the shortest side of the parcel. The weight is limited to 10 kg. The parcel is also insured up to € 500,-.

  1. PM 045 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel is added max. 45 cm) GER=€10,79, other EU = €14,19
  2. PM 070 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel is added max. 70 cm) GER=€16,24, other EU = €19,69
  3. PM 120 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel are added max. 120 cm) GER=€21,69, other EU = €25,19

Therefore if you win more than 1 lot and the books fit into the same parcel, the shipping costs will be the same as for 1 book.

Important: Please wait with payment until you get my confirmation email, as the shipping costs have to be calculated.
