Autograph letter signed by Vaclav Kautsky to unknown recipient, dated Praha, 10. 7. 1918.
Folded sheet 21 x 13 cm. Written in ink on three and a quarter pages. In Czech The weight 10 grams.
Good to very good: light signs of use, traces of horizontal centre fold.
In this letter, written shortly before the end of the First World War, Vaclav Kautsky writes to the addressee (probably a friend) partly about about the organisation of a small private tournament and partly about possible problems with food.
Biographical data:
Vaclav Kautsky (Kaucky, 1880-1923), Czech chess player and organizer. One of the founders of Czechoslovak Chess Union (UJCS, 1905) and of magazine Casopis ceskych sachistu (1906). Author of several books, among them tournament book on Prague 1908.
