DESCRIPTION

Latvian Gambit 1973. Chess world monthly publication. Editor: Elmar Zemgalis. Co-editor: Gerhard Gunderam. Published by the American Latvian Chess Association. In English. Descriptive notation. Issues 1-4 (1-2 is double issue). 16 unnumbered pages. Incomplete volume 6. Di Felice 2068 (Sacha Pasaule).

Latvian Gambit was an American chess magazine that was published as a separate supplement of Sacha Pasaule with its own subscription from July 1968 to June 1973 (it is possible that the last double issue July-August was also published), 6 volumes in total. Its main content was correspondence chess and analysis of the Latvian Gambit (1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 f5). As noted in the 1971/5 issue, Bobby Fischer was among the readers of Latvian Gambit, and Lothar Schmidt, for example, was a subscriber, as noted in the 1972/8-9 issue.

Condition - Mostly Good: in loose parts, some stains and soiling (mainly in issue 4).
