Small original photo from the closing ceremony of the 1970 international tournament in Caracas. Size: 11,5 x 7,6 cm.
Lubosh Kavalek receives the cup for the first place from the tournament director Dr. Tinoco.
The Caracas tournament was one of Lubosh Kavalek's greatest successes. He won the tournament ahead of Stein and Panno. Interestingly, he started the tournament as a Czechoslovakian and ended as an American. The young Anatoly Karpov made a grandmaster norm there and tied for third place with Ivkov and Benkö.
Condition - Good: unevenly cropped.
