The 6th volume of the CCB contains detailed biography of Theodore Lichtenhein, strong player (he took third prize in the First American Chess Congress NY 1857), president of New York Chess Club etc.

Harrie Grondijs wrote many books, his favourite themes are the endgame studies and the history of chess. His books are of high quality regarding both the content and form. Most of his works are published in low editions, usually numbered and signed by the author - this is a reason why Grondijs books almost do not appear in the market.
